Alex Torrenegra started his first business at age 14 in Bogotá, Colombia, with the objective of buying his first computer. After migrating to the US and finding his love of his life, Tania Zapata, he co-founded Bunny Inc., with the objective of maximizing the productive creativity of human kind, by offering great services that allow all people on earth to participate in the global economy. He also founded Torrenegra Labs, an incubator that was named one of the top immigrant owned startups in the US by Forbes Magazine. With Torrenegra Labs, he has co-founded and invested in several successful tech companies including WeHostels, VivaReal, and Dashbell. I also co-founded HubBOG, BogoDev, and BogoTech, the three largest communities of web entrepreneurs, software developers, and technologists in Colombia. In 2012 he was honored by MIT’s Technology Review with the TR35 Top Colombian Innovator of the Year award, in 2013 with the NYC Venture Fellowship by the City of New York, and also in 2013 with the High-Impact Entrepreneur title by Endeavor.
